What should a normal engine mount look like? Now that I saw these polyurethane engine mountings Matt Holcomb has, I began wonder if I had any bushings there...? All I have is this bolt that has spring plates on both ends and it goes through a plate that has a whole and that is welded to the body. Any pictures of those engine mountings? Diagrams? Thanks. |

This is very old picture and it shows on the right corner what I have now, wonder if I should buy new ones: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploads/konehuone.JPG |

Yes I think the picture is upside down and your mounts look the same as mine. Cheers |

Zendalar, Oh, you'll have bushings between the plates, but after thirty years they'll be no thicker than a rice cracker. Mine were shot; the rubber bushings were quite brittle. I'm assured that the polyurethane mounts will make an enormous difference, but I won't know until next week.
