I understand that the sunroof operates via cables. I've noticed that mine seems to open and close via the driver's side cable while the passenger side of the sunroof slips. I can grab the pass side and move it fore/aft, while the driver's side is tight. Occaisionally it grabs on the right and the sunroof rotates in its track and sticks. Is this normal or is my pass side cable in need of re-fastening to a mount of sorts?
Does anyone have suggestion? I've been unable to locate a drawing/diagram of the sunroof system. Maybe that would make it clear to me how it works. thx todd =-=-=-=-=- 86 cpe |

Todd-
The same gear of the same motor drives both sides, so either the cable is not fastened to the left side, or the cable is damaged. You should remove the sunroof to investigate. I think that the source of the trouble will be obvious. I'm almost positive that Wayne's "101 Projects" book has a segment on sunroofs. Of course, this book is a must-have. -Scott
