911SC body and paint restore

Hi Folks,

I was posting in a local forum a similar post about my 911 SC targa from 1978 body restauration.

First the car was imported from San Jose, CA, to Holand, bought in Holand, and registered as historic car in Spain. The original configuration was Brown Moca with Corck interior.

The Project has been scrached all old paint, repair the body, clean rust, and now is currently being painted in red, I have restored the dash, and couple of more fansy things. The seals will be all new and the windshild as well, everything will be refirbished and placed it nicely.

The car was in good shape but the color lost the shine and the previouse owner paint the car without taking the seals or trims required to do a good job, so from far locked nice but from close looked old.

Scratch Rust Cleaning






Dash disasambly, 2 bolts on gouges, six bolts from the track and 3 bolts at the front, then take out the front windshield, 4 bolts on the top of the dash and pull up and to the rear of the car to take out the dash

I am adding also a couple of pics of the dashboard. I have refurbished my self, I have sand the surface with an electric sand, then I have covered the holes and empty lines and sand again.

Then I have paste some part of the vinyl and I have been modeling the vinyl and pasting it with leather glue.

Hi Guys,

I wanted to keep you updated, everything was painted already, also I have sand and painted the fuch. It is not 100% but I will protect with tape better and give a second spray on them the fuch wheels ring:







Moreover, the rear spoiler was refurbished with new black metal trim







And also, the door metal trims and the side mirrows have been mounted again and changed the seals.

Hi guys,

I am glad to say that my post is coming to the end, the 911 is Finished! after 4 months, the project has end with a great success. My 911 looks completely new and gorgeus.
