Front Condenser Block-off
Looking for suggestions and pictures of how others blocked off the opening for the front blower/condenser. I know Rennline makes a block off that mounts to the blower motor mount. I’m looking for something that eliminates everything.

Take the plastic blower motor housing, trace it out on a sheet of aluminum, complete with punch pips for the screws. Cut & drill it out. Clean out all the smutz. Remove the condenser thing, but leave the bar guard in front of the condenser thingy. Mount your new plate with a thin layer of dum dum to seal it.
If you don't know dum dum, think flex-seal from a tube. It makes screen doors float. In fact, make the plate from an old screen door & then just spray it with that stuff. In fact just spray the condenser with enough flex seal, & viola, water tight. |
Dum dum is simply ribbon calk.

Condenser shield.
Look on used parts for a condenser shield.

I did look into using the blower motor mount and just putting a small flat piece of aluminum over that opening. I really would like to eliminate the entire assembly though. The picture does not show it but it is not flat. It has a radius step up along the side toward the front of the car. Rennline sells the small block-off for $20 but like I said, I was really hoping to eliminate the entire assembly. #14 in the picture is what I am trying to eliminate.
