Attaching seat belts-911T

I'm reinstalling the stock seats in my 72T. There were SC seats installed beforehand (for sale soon!) that had a plate attached so they could fit. The belts were attached to this plate that came off with the SC seats.

I'm struggling with the proper attachment points for the outer (doorside) belts. They're factory retracting type but attaching them to the track base blocks the seat moving further backwards.

I think I could make it work attaching them to the front of the rail but that doesn't seem correct.

Any close up pix would be greatly appreciated. Shouldn't be this difficult.

TIA

Nick

In doing some PP searching, it appears the outside door facing belt attachments attach to the seats and not the seat rail or frame.

Anyone?

Figured it out. Believe it or not, belt and receiver attach to the seats themselves, under the rail slides and in between the seat hinge. Apparently they changed the attachment points to the chassis around 74.

So weird.

Just saw this thread, and was going to point this out. Attaching to the seats is great, until you decide you want to upgrade to non-factory seats of some type. Then it's a bit problematic.
