I'm certainly not an expert. I used the blue many years ago to install new studs. I recently had to remove the exhaust, and yes rusty nuts, I had three of the studs unscrew with the nuts. Better than a broken stud. This time I replaced the non barrel nuts with copper clad nuts hoping not to have the rust issue. And I used the blue locktite again. It will be interesting to hear other comments.

When I rebuilt the 3.0 in my SC, I used stainless steel studs and nuts along with a light coating of anti seize cream. Now, 6 years later, they still look like new! I did use the blue locktite when I put the studs in the heads.

I was told by the engine experts on this site to use regular steel, not stainless and no locktite but a high heat anti seize.

I got my brass at Ace hardware in the plumbing section.

For the exhaust studs into the head (for the Heat Ex), I used no loctite. I do not recall using anti-seize on the stud, but did so on the threads where the barrel nut and other nuts fasten. Thought the exhaust studs get too hot for loctite anyway.

No stainless on stainless. I just crank them in tight and if one happens to come out with the nut on later disassembly, no big deal, just screw it back in.
