Measure Front Suspension - PO Replaced Front Pan

Hi All
The PO had the front pan replaced. A workmanlike repair, solid but not pretty. Supposedly a VW guy so knew pans, not necessarily 911s. I was going to just replace it but the rest of the car is good enough it doesn’t automatically make sense. I was able to measure my TR8 via lines on the floor, plumb bobs etc with surprising accuracy, it was very accurately made.

Where can I find the vertical and diagonal dimensions etc? A diagram would be really heplful. TIA!

Restoration Design has the dimensions on their website, under the tab marked resources.

Thumbs up Great! - Now How to Decode...

Thanks werke1! This is what I am looking for. Now I have to decode what all of the X-Y & I-II-III designations refer too. I work a lot with engineering drawings but standards have changed.

I get a lot of it but I guess I must study it longer. Is there a key or 'title block' with any more info?

For a quick check for square, you can compare measurements.
Compare the diagonals to each other and the verticals to each other.
That'll tell you if your square.
I "adjust" the bolts so the flats are parallel to each other, then measure flat to flat.
Don't forget to tighten back up when done!
