Paint Stripper Recommendations

I’ve just use the last of my methylene chloride based paint stripper to strip my front bumper. I bought a can of the current non-methylene chloride version, but it didn’t really work at all on my 50 year old Porsche paint. Can anyone recommend a paint stripper that actually works and bubbles up the paint like the old toxic stuff?

Good idea. I'm in California, but nothing is insurmountable.

Just watched your most recent video. What power plant are you going to put into that thing?!

Call around to some local auto body supply shops. I was having the exact same problem trying to strip the interior tub of my '72 911 Outlaw RSR with a ZZ4 and found a gallon of the good stuff locally.

Motor is yet to be released.

Great idea about the auto body shop. I have two of them within walking distance.

If I had to recommend a stripper, I'd say go with Desiree. She is passionate about her craft and never disappoints! Thanks everyone, remember to tip your bartenders.

^What I use
Don't know if it's methylene cloride (sp?) based but has a strong smell of ammonia and orange colored. Buy mine from auto body/paint store. Works great.
Use paint stripper gloves.

Columbia no longer has their paint stripper in stock. Aircraft stripper no longer contains MEK and I was not able to locate a seller on EBAY with any containing the MEK. Anyone got a lead?

Columbia no longer carries 1 gallon bottles, just 5 gallon and up. $175 with free shipping for a 5 gallon pail

Thanks

David

I just called my local auto paint distributor, they have one gallon of Aircraft Stripper left (the good stuff with Methylene Chloride). They think it may be the last they will get...

I buy the 5 gallon containers and have only 2 gallons left. Did they say they were getting more?
