Black or shiny is one way to identify, I think they started anodizing the frames in 1972 or 73, and the early door frames were polished. Rear quarter windows were pop out until 72 also I think, and then they were a solid frame.
Other than that, I have had personal experience dismantling 1970 911 and 67 912, and the door frames were very similar. Not sure what all of the differences were, but I think that the door frames were the same all the way till late 80's. Someone can correct me if I am wrong. |
coupes are different from targas, otherwise, basically they all interchange....and anything from 1969 thru the 993 could works, either they where polished (bright) or black.
