Mount Palomar run
 

I live in Fallbrook now and we took a Porsche ride up to Mount Palomar to see the Hale telescope. Fantastic! Was a beautiful day on Saturday. We went up highway 76 through beautiful citrus country then turned left to Palomar. Very pretty ride . Up top is a nice general store and little restaurant for a sandwich and coffee. For even more fun, continue up highway 76, then catch 79 to our little mountain town of Julian. Has a historic hotel and the Julian cafe. Wonderful breakfast. Prime rib and eggs on Sunday but must get there early!!! Early is the word.

The Julian pie company has the best pie you ever tasted. Also , Mom’s pies. Both in town.
