I almost puked when I saw how they trashed that 951. This CPA is off to bed. Good Luck Jack! |
Watch out for that Supra, boys. They may be porky, but they make ridiculous HP.

That's what the car looked like when we were asked to submit a picture.
Thanks for the good wishes. We leave tomorrow afternoon for Spring Mountain. The biggest competition will be the NSX. They have a pro driver they've brought in, and the car is fully race prepped. The two M3's will also be tough. They have state of the art Ground Control suspensions and loads of other mods. The 944 Turbo and the (800-hp) Supra are nothing to be concerned about. Honestly, we'll be lucky to get in the top 3, based on the specs of the cars involved. But don't count us out. Tyson and I are steely and determined. |
Concerning this year's OTC...
Kick ass and take names (and photos!), Guys |
The Supra Turbo is sporting 800 horsepower!!!
But that just means it will leave the track all the sooner for whatever reason. No worries. The NSX is driven by a professional driver. That'll be tough! But that too may mean it'll leave the track all the sooner. NSX's aren't known for handling the abuse of being relentlessy flogged the way a pro will punish it. The M3's are both very formidable, and driven by very experienced and very accomplished drivers. It'll be very difficult for us to podium this year. This year, we actually have the least horsepower in our class. We'll have to do it with handling and smoothness. Oh, and brakes! And of course, we're EVIL . That always helps. :) |

Jack, in keeping with the team image, you should change your title above your avatar to "Evil" Moderator. Good luck you guys...give 'em hell!

James Dean? I think Jack's a dead ringer for Michael J Fox--time to trade in BB2 for a Delorean...

Doug Hayashi from Pulpracing got a Sprint wireless internet setup, he is planning on doing real time updates.

Here's an early live update. Tyson and I drove from Los Angeles to Pahrump, NV, last night. Later today, we'll do some testing at the track at Spring Mountain, mostly to scrub in a new set of tires. Then we'll take care of registration, and see what competition has showed up.
For whatever reason, using AOL to connect through hotel rooms hardly ever works for me. But I'll hopefully be able to post a few updates along the way, including some pictures. We'll be in Las Vegas on Monday, then Buttonwillow on Tuesday, Thunderhill Wednesday and Thursday, Willow Springs Friday, and back to Las Vegas a week from today. |
