Looking for a roller (to export) from the USA (Miami area??), what paperwork?
I am looking for a roller or complete car (rusty/no-engine car would do just fine) from Miami or nearby.
The thing is that I would love to have a coupe, early or late style does not really matter. The only thing that would matter that it would be cheap and the seller would be...well co-operative and willing to transfer the roller to a harbour ![]() See, I might have a possibility to transport a roller to Finland in a cargoship and the shipping usually costs about 1000$. In Finland one has to pay +20 percent toll and +30% of car tax ( if the car is older than 25 years) and on top of that 30% one has to pay 22% turnover tax. Thats why I would wanna get as cheap roller/car as possible from the US. Percentages add up quickly -> Not a cheap car anymore. Other reason why I wan't it from the US, is that there are no rollers hereby, or they are too pricey. I don't know anything about papers that come with cars bought from the USA. When I bought my car from Germany I got registration papers, deed of sale and other related stuff. These are the things that I would at least need when bought from USA. Anybody willing to help ![]()

Oh, you want to do it legally from Miami? That will be a first for the port of Miami, a car being legally shipped out.
Some "nice" South American is probably driving my mom's '87 turbo look targa right now. It was stolen from our garage in Miami 4 or 5 years ago and was never found.

Will the west coast work?
Sometimes the distance is marginalized when the cargo bay has to be filled to capacity for efficiencys sake. A call 15 miles away is more expensive than long distance and cross-continent airfare can be cheaper as well. |

Search some of the older Pelican classified's ( maybe 2 weeks ) or even Rennlist . There was a mid 70's roller advertised in the Miami area for , around $ 3500. Hope this helps

The paperwork was pretty minimal when I had my 71E shipped from Miami to Istanbul last year -- all that was required was a copy of my passport and the title of the car. The shipping company took care of it.
You're most likely better off trying to find something local, as ground transportation (ie CA to FL) is not cheap in the US. |
