Carrera 3.2 Fuel Injectors

Has anybody used these in anger?

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/6x-PORSCHE-911-CARRERA-TARGA-SC-3-2L-83-92-FUEL-INJECTORS-0280150158-93060612000/223651738464

I know of someone in the UK that has bought a set but not fitted them as yet. He does report good build quality though.

I am about to start a fuel line refresh from tank to injectors. My plan was to have my injectors cleaned (I last had them cleaned a few years ago) but this set has got my attention.

Thanks.

The Compatibility Table doesn't give a lot of confidence where it recommends the injectors for cars that don't actually have electrically actuated injectors!

That said, I know getting replacement injectors for a 3.2 isn't a walk in the park. Even if you can get genuine 0280 150 158's, they're horrendously expensive and really not that sophisticated.

Do you really need new injectors if the ones you have were tested and cleaned only a few years ago?

Anyway, this is direction I went:

just had my 3.2 upgraded to a 3.4 at 182k miles (mahle motorsports p&c). Original 1986 injectors still flowed just fine when tested during the rebuild and, post-rebuild and provided a consistent AFR to benchmark (i.e. were still providing appropriate fuel flow for the relatively thirstier 3.4 after rebuild) when burning a new chip to accommodate the 3.4/higher compression.

Mechanic indicated that while 944 and other injectors do wear, he's seen little need from day one to the present to replace 3.2 carrera injectors . . . if it ain't broke, don't fix it . . . food for thought

I recently replaced all 6 injectors from this ebay seller in the US. They work perfectly. Not sure if they’re still available though. They’re LUCAS with same specs as OEM.

If above link doesn’t work. Search for this item code on ebay USA:

Good luck.

Thanks All.

Was hoping someone had tried these - at least to know whether they are a viable option.

My first action will be to send mine for test and clean - hopefully they are all still good. Car has roughly 78k miles and no reason to think the injectors have a problem.
