There are other places online, but I forget them off the top of my head. I think that is a sort of AMP connector. |
It is the same connector as used for EV-1 fuel injectors.
|
It's an Tyco/AMP (Amphenol) Junior Timer connector.
|
This does not take a Tyco/Amp connector.
It uses a Bosch Compact 1 You can get the kit from Finjector, part number (1 928 403 137 ) The kit labeled SET-1 will work with 17-20 ga. wire Not easy to find parts in kit form. |
Huh, never noticed that before...
Bosch knock sensors are available with 2 types of connectors (and also the "modern" connector can be had either terminating on the sensor body, or with an attached lead - KS-4-S vs KS-4-K1 respectively). Bosch says knock sensor connectors are either: Quote:
The JT can be crimped satisfactorily with a $15 ratchet crimper with suitable dies for open-barrel terminals and the gauge of wire used. Dunno about the other one. |
this one takes the EV1?
does it matter which one I use. would like to use one that I can easily find a connector for but also works well. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1580212325.jpg |

(It is surprising how many places the Junior Timer connectors are used. First place I saw them was the crank sensors on the Carrera but now I see them all over. They even use them on my cheap 90's Nissan pickup!) |
|
does it really matter which sensor I get.
been trying to get info on them but not really any out there. I assume the 2 wire ones are better than single wire for noise |

Google "bosch Y.261.K23.205" for the Jetronic connector and "bosch KS4-P datasheet" for the other one. Apart from the connector, they're the same sensor. Quote:

I ordered 2 of these.
came with connectors so no worries. https://www.bmotorsports.com/shop/product_info.php/cPath/129_589/products_id/4514 also ordered this air temp sensor. I ordered a M18 to M14 adapter so I can mount it in the IC right above the throttle body. hope the engine shroud does not get in the way. https://www.bmotorsports.com/shop/product_info.php/cPath/129_142/products_id/4174 |
