fender hardware?

Car is a 79 SC

I got the car back from the paint shop with this hardware in a bag and just labeled fenders. Can anyone tell me what these are for or where they go? I assume one for each side? Cant find anything in the PET diagram that looks like these.

Thanks

the "U" shaped parts are used to space the outer fender out from the inner fender/hood if needed.

Should I have more than 2 total for the entire car? Does these go in one particular spot?

There's one for each fender. It's the very first bolt on the front.

Did you ask the paint shop?

If you got the painted car back assembled, then assume they weren't needed after they massaged the gaps.

Fender shims, used to align gaps - can use more than one of needed.

If they are handing you back bolts - then go I would double check all the fender mounting points (and where the wiper fluid sits).

The fenders use a screw type fastener like this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Porsche-911-912-65-89-Fender-Screw-with-Washer-x1-6-3x19-/350823787348 - so most likely it fits another component when they took off the fender..

The car is completely disassembled. I am doing full build. They had shipped it back to me with the fenders properly positioned but I cant remember if I took them off when I removed the fenders or they were not needed.
