'71T rear seat belt install

I'm hoping for a little help adding rear seat belts (hopefully 3 pt). I don't see any original bolts or feel any plugs or holes under carpet. What is involved in adding lap belts, or shoulder belts.

Any for sale?

Thanks a ton.

My 72 had lap belt holes under the carpet. feel for a depression in the carpet and Poke around with a long needle. When you find the holes you should be able to bolt right in without an external nut. Note the hole is not metric. I've never figured that one out. My 4 and 7 year olds love the lap belts.

I don't know about the 3 pt. The barrel nuts are there.

What gets me is the lack of attachments for the lap belts in the front. I sold my seats that had the mounts on the frame. That was a poor design, IMO, anyway.

Well, I have a roll bar and will attach at least the outer belt to the base of the roll bar. Inside, by the tunnel, requires welding as I read the archives.

Sorry for the hijack, but I wanted to say aome more about the '71 while we're here.

Thanks for input, (especially since I let my wife read the reply over my shoulder and we happen to have a 4 and a 6 year old who would love to ride in the jump seats)

You can get 3pt retractables for the rear from PEP Parts. You will have to drill through the back shelf into the engine compartment (no big deal) since they didnt allow for mounting the 3pts until 75 I think. Did it to my 71 a few years back so my kids could ride in the back. Now I am stripping the interior to go RS theme.
Zeke, the attatchment to the seat rail was poor design. I am thinking I may have to weld in some mounting points as I read the POC rules and they dont allow rail mounting in their TT or better events.
