rear wiper motor

My rear wiper motor will not run. I have 12v to the motor , the dash switch powers the other terminal but with only 7 volts. With the dash switch on, the motor gets warm, but doesn't blow the fuse. The brushes are in place as they should be.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.
1986 Carrera.

thanks

I don't know if this will help....
If your motor is like mine (89 3.2L) there are sort of two sets of brushes inside. One set gets the motor started and running and one set is used to park the motor at the parking position. The motor is easy to remove from the car. I suggest taking it out and looking inside to be sure all the brushes are working and see if you can get the motor to run and park itself while on the bench.

Update: My local shop took a look and found something wrong in the motor, rebuilt it, and all is working great now. Cost about $200.
