Pirelli P Zero Rossi or Tpyo Proxes?

Time for new rubber on my 87 backdate project. I currently have the Toyo’s on the car and not really thrilled with them but I have also been making adjustments to the suspension so not sure how much of my dissatisfaction was the tires. My understanding is that we have limited choices when staying with original 16” Fuchs.

Thoughts and advice appreciated.

I plan to go with Pirelli Corsa Classics next time I need tires. They have 16" options.

I put the Rossis on an 87 turbo. Super high quality tire but not enough of a summer pattern for my liking. I am also going to check out the classics.

I put Michelin Pilot Exaltos on my car because that is what it had on it when I bought it.

They were dated out, so I just replaced them.

I really like them, just right for me.

Currently running the P Zero Rossi's on my 930.
They are the nosiest tires I have ever driven on any car.
Also, I can't get one of the smaller fronts (225/50x16) dynamically balanced.
I think it is an internal belt seat/overlap issue.
If Toyo made the sizes I needed, I would have gone with them.
YMMV

What Toyos do you have? I love my RA-1s in 225f 245r on 7 and 8-16s. Those may not be the best choice for everyone, but I have had no issues with mine. Unfortunately it looks like the 205-16s are NLA
