Help with changeover to clear front lens

I'd like to change my turn signal and side marker lens's to clear. Having trouble though finding the side marker lens (the schematic is not too clear either but think I have the correct numbers for the lens).

Pelican has the Euro Clear that seems to replace the Amber

But can't find a Clear one that replaces the Amber Side Marker Lens

Any thoughts on how I can find it?

TIA...Todd

Clear lens

Hey Speed,

Copied and pasted the answer I gave on another thread.....

---------------------------------

Clear Marker/Blinker Lenses source

Hey Spoke,

Thanks for the update on the fogs, I'll belly up to the bar and buy some when you perfect those.

In answer to your source question for clear front Marker/Blinker. Our host isn't carrying.

Rennspeed Motorsports (www.Rennspd.Com) originally told me they were out. They found a set of Markers on the shelf for $45 delivered. And they're GREAT quality.

Sierra Madre is back-ordered on markers (December) but has the Clear Blinker lenses ON SALE for $16.41 each!

If these sources get blocked by our host, PM me and I'll hook you guys up

I'm off to order LED's for these clears and a pair of reverse for the 911....

Scott

Also, just to be "clear", ROW cars did not have side markers, so if you're looking at ROW parts catalogue they are not listed. The NA cars came with them. Additionally, remember, this clear lens "fad" is just that. Porsche NEVER made clear T/S or sidemarker lenses for air cooled cars. I'm not saying they don't look cool on the right car though!

Thanks. What is "ROW"?

Also, agreed on the clear lens not being spec - I just like the look as I try to do no other color on the car but rear brake light lens (since required).

ROW = Rest of World.

I like the look. All amber lenses are gone, rears are red.
Be sure to get orange bulbs

Speed,

My car is silver as well, I love the clear lens look on silver cars. Can't wait to install the lenses along with Spoke's LED kit.

Have everything, looking for some time.

Post some pics when you get it done?

I did get the Orangle bulbs, but have seen them before with clear ones. Actually, don't like the Orange bulbs because you can still see them but understand why they need to be there so someone can actually see the light when using it.

Will post. Good reminder.

I'd like to see someone with the Spoke's LED kit - I don't quote understand what that will actually do. So post your pics as well once done so we can see!

Geronimo - BTW - noted you have side markers that are rubber bumper = not lens. Was this stock or did you swap them out? If swapped out - why did you do that?

I think that the orange bulb issue. (Bulb color visible through white lens) can be solved with led lights.
Anyone confirm leds can shine orange but are colorless when off?
This should add to the stealthyness, no?

Finally got them swapped out. Ordered from Sierra Madre as they were the only ones that had all of the parts that I needed.

I ordered the gaskets that went in each of the lenses and orange bulbs for the turn signals. I ordered the wrong turn signal bulb so have to swap those out and the rubber gasket they sent me is too big for either of the lenses so I don’t know what happen with that. I was lucky to be able to remove my old gaskets and put them in the new ones and everything looks and works great.

Pretty much all 5mm through-hole LEDs have clear bodies. Only the small LED chip can be seen when looking directly into the clear body.

These are red LEDs for turnsignal and brakes. When not lit up, the LEDs look clear.

Here's my 930 with clear front turnsignals and amber sidelights. I would like to get the clear sidemarker lenses to match. The turnsignals have white running LEDs and amber turnsignal LEDs.
