Victor Spezial steering wheel install

Installed this Victor Spezial 360mm wheel without drilling it. Yes, there is a non-drill solution! Since the Victor wheels have a unique bolt pattern - attaching to a hub presents a "unique" install experience. There are images where people have successfully drilled the wheel to fit some hub (often Momo). Once I had the wheel though (purchased from a Pelican/ixxified), I realized I did not want to drill it (and risk damaging it or f'ing the job somehow), and was trying to sort out a solution when I learned that a Momo to Victor adapter was available (also from ixxified). One of those rare times when waiting and delaying while thinking about a solution paid off - a solution came to me. It is black anodized aluminum - and machined to adapt a Momo hub to a Victor steering wheel. It does the job, perfectly.

Couple points.
1.I initially tried a Rothsport hub. But no horn possible with Rothsport had to return it (if I'm wrong please LMK how to get a horn w/ it...). Then used a std Momo hub.
2. the Momo-Victor adapter (Made in Germany) is machined and anodized same quality as the Rothsport stuff. But, the fit was tight. Usually there is a sliver metal ring that attaches to the horn button - fits between the wheel and the hub. This did not fit - I think the tolerances between the adapter and the wheel were just too precise for the silver horn connector ring to also fit. At least this was the case in my application. The adapter fits the Victor wheel PERFECTLY - see in side view image.
3. to get a horn connection I used a bush league approach - I placed a piece of tin-foil between the Momo hub and the wheel - effectively closing the circuit when the lead was attached directly to the horn button - and the spring on the horn button connects to the tin foil. I said it was BL... It works. If there is a better solution - maybe purpose built ultra thin conduit (ie like tinfoil but not as friable...), I need to find it.

Driving and steering with the 360mm diameter is noticably different from the 350mm it replaces. So far so good.

I drilled mine for a momo hub - came out great. Did that and ran the hex socket head bolts since it was flat. If you want to run the adapter I would change to the recessed bolts so you don't damage the mounting surface of the holes with those wrong bolts.

- I agree, and will try it that way as well. Where the current bolts sit there is a mar. Not the goal... Easy fix.

DD - thanks man, I've only seen Victors on Pelican and took a chance on this slightly larger wheel vs the 350mm Personnal.

RSBob - LOL.... yup that orange heater duct tubing is straight outta "Aircraft Spruce".

follow up...
1. this thread pertains to the installation of the Victor wheel adapter from ixxified (find info here: Kremer Porsche Victor Momo hub adapter | patipatina.com)
2. just when I think I am writing THE definitive install thread for a well engineered and produced solution for Victor wheel install, that may help a Pelican sometime, the responses trigger me.
Did I do this back asswards...??
Yup.
3. thanks dg567 as your comment was the needed trigger. I like it better properly installed with the installation hardware provided with the Victor adapter.
