Advice on good quality repro sheet metal needed

I recently posted about putting a 3.2/915 and complete suspension in my "new" 71. Well, the goal was to get these in for the summer knowing that everything will come out for rust repair this winter.

Then Jim Hamilton, and others, write to me about how much fun this car will be on the track (thanks again). So this one time, and one time only, I will let reason beat out desire, and get all the welding done now in preparation for, maybe, July DE. As this is a long-term ownership investment, I am going with new front pan, rockers, and trailing arm mounts/longitudinals. Floors are surprisingly very good.

To help my cousin, who is more familiar with 60's Mustangs and much earlier Fords, weld up new good quality, good FIT metal, does anyone here have any advice on suppliers. I've seen Pelican has some of the parts, and I buy regularly and trust these guys to sell good stuff, but have also seen some nice parts in the Tweeks and Perf. Prod. catalogs.

Any help is much appreciated. Thanks

Shaun

I recently installed a door post, suspension pan, rocker panel, and a battery box all purchaced from Restoration Design and the fit was almost perfect. Quality parts, Decent Price. Now all I need is a good left fender and a left door and I'm done!

You may want to phone Pelican first, as I suspect some of the kit they sell is Restoration Design product... e.g., see link below....and check out "front suspension pan and gas tank support photo"

That's correct, we resell all of Restoration Design's components - and they are all very good quality. Rest Design is the supplier for the 'other guys' too. We can get just about anything that the other guys have.

Tweeks, unfortunately, lists a ton of stuff in their catalog that they don't stock, and that they just cannot get anymore (from what I hear)...

Thanks Wayne, I will be ordering everything through you then. My post was actually prompted by your "limited availabilty" of the longitudinals. See http://www.pelicanparts.com/catalog/shopcart/911E/por_911E_chasis_main.htm

Will I be able to get these?

Thanks

Shaun
