Floor Mat Suggestions

I’m getting new carpet and would like some suggestions for floor mats. My carpet will be black square weave which is actually dark grey with lighter grey flecks. The rest of the interior is black. The exterior of the car is metallic grey. I was thinking of black/grey Coco mats, but I’m curious for suggestions from others. I’m not looking for concours, just something that looks really nice.

Any suggestions?

The all-Black Sisal from Coco Mats. I like the weave better than the herringbone on their actual coco mats. It most closely resembles the period mats that came from the dealer on my ‘73. The customer service there is awesome, I’ll add.

Hi Quickstep192- In addition to looking great, Coco mats also offer some serious leak protection. Here's my story...

COCO Mats save the day!

Another vote for Coco

I have a new carpet set in my backdate project and wanted to protect it. Love the Coco mats, beautiful and tough.

I'm getting a set of these made for my car: https://car-bone.pl/tags/floor-mats/

Right now I've got the Rennline track mats, I'll probably keep them for when they are appropriate, but they are a bit annoying for everyday use.

I wasn't too happy with my car-bone mats. The piping doesn't look very nice quality and the gas pedal barely touches the edge of the passenger mat that comes over the tunnel. I ended up folding it under to stop it from touching.
I think the US Targa is unique though with the pedal box being moved further over than sedan.

I'd get Coco's if i could do it over again.

I have the same German square weave installed in my 72...I think nothing looks nicer than that, so if your goal is to protect those carpets, you might consider buying a bulk piece of it and having an upholstery shop make up a set...essentially carpet on carpet...just a thought.

Does anyone make a rubber mat that's akin to the RS rubber mat but is two piece; one for driver and one for passenger?

I'd like to velcro something like that into the car and leave it for track events.

Order the bulk material, trace your current mats, cut and call it a day.

That's what I was thinking. Any suggestions on where to buy the material?

Does anybody else with new CoCo mats find their feet kind of slide around on them? I'm hoping it's just because they're new and after a little wear they won't feel as slick.
