Ok, clutch assembly

I am going to do this one at a time so this is the first of many. I see in many of the clutch kits that they include a bunch of clips and rings for the trowout bearing. Mine came with none. I looked in my Porsche workshop manual and it does not show any. Do I need anything like this for a '77 930? Also, on the not so smart front how do you put the throw out bearing on the spring center? does it snap in? from the front or rear? Thanks

RTFM... just kidding. Good question, I have wondered the same thing. How is your current throw out bearing mounted?

Why don't they mount the throw out bearing onto the clutch in clutch kits? It seems as if it would make it easier for everyone. One less part to pack and one less thing for the consumer to mess up and b*tch about to the supplier.

RTFM! had to look that one up. means "Read The F***ing Manual" The sad part is that I did. My factory manual shows nothing. And Waynes book simply states something like "reassemble per the old setup" or something like that. Well mine was destroyed so thats not an option.

the turbo t/o bearing has no clips or rings. the bearing is captured by the p/plate as the bolts are tightened. just hold it in position as you tighten them.

Wayne is a plagiarist!! How dare he plagiarize the Hayne's manual!
