Here are a couple outfits to research:

Palo Alto Speedometer: Repair, Restoration, and Sales of Automobile Gauges (palo alto speedometer, likely who you spoke to)
www.nhspeedometer.com (repaired my speedo which had broken odometer gear. Came back looking new)

If you don't mind pulling the gauges apart yourself these guys have all sorts of gauge faces for you to choose from https://www.heiler-tachodesign.de/Speedometer-Disc-Porsche-911-Carrera-Targa-Coupe-Mph-to-Kmh

I highly recommend the folks at https://www.instrumentclusterstore.com/Porsche_instrument_clusters.htm
They focus exclusively on clusters and are a great source of inofrmation.

Sent mine to North Hollywood. Faces redone in silver vs. original black. Bulbs replaced with LEDs.
Fahrenheit numbers added to temp gauge. Speedometer changed so the sweep starts down at 6:30 and the steering wheel doesn't block my view until 90 mph.

Readability, especially at night, is so much better in this dark black cabin.

I called them a couple times to get help with my wiring mess as I reinstalled them. Lots of patience on their part.

Couldn't be happier

I also recommend Hollywood Speedometer in North Hollywood, CA. They restored my tach in 48 hours. New glass and no more jumping needle and got my shift light working again! I’m going to bring the rest soon to have new glass installed.
