86 front window replacement - Need advice
My wife surprised me with a new window on my targa. The shop used was highly recommended by the porsche shop which I've used for over 20 years. The new window is beautiful and I can't believe that I can see without looking through 30 years of pits and scratches.
The seal looks great everywhere except along the driver's side front pillar. Along this edge, the window seal has about a 2-3mm gap between the glass and seal. This morning the car was taken back to the shop for them to review. Short term they inserted some silicone sealant. They said that they would correct, which may require them to order a new window and or seal. I'm bothered that it doesn't look good, and that it will leak. Question: Am I being overly sensitive or critical about this issue? http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1583811019.JPG http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1583811019.JPG http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1583811019.JPG |

That's an odd place for a gap. It looks like the glass just needs to be bedded in better.
Whose seal did they use? Do a search on all the problems with seals recently |
Did your original windshield have the antenna built into it? If so, where did you find it?
