16 Inch Gold BBS Wheels

I just ran across a set of 16 inch gold BBS wheels that were taken from a 75 911. I wasn't really looking, but it seems that I can get them for about $300. Is this a good price? It sounds low to me for a set of BBS rims that are truely in good shape.

Also, is there any reason they wouldn't fit an 84 Carrera? Is the offset close enough? I have sedate black 16 inch Fuchs now, but I'm staring to like the idea of flashy gold BBSs.

If flash and gold is what ya want.....they are probably 6s and 7s.....not much of an upgrade. Probably less if your Fuchs are 7s and 8s.....

Make sure you put them on first, stand back and take a serious look.

I had the same option on some gold BBS wheels and IMO they looked really pimpish (gold chain, 70's style).

Now that was on my white cab. so maybe on something different they will look better.

Just a thought before you separate with the readies!

One positive note... if they are the 3-piece ones, they are light; just like the Fuchs

Both of my 911's (previous and current) have had dealer installed (Holbert's) 3 piece BBS wheels.

It is a subjective thing, but I prefer the BBS rims.

YMMV

It is not necessary that we agree on all things, or even most things. We agree on a few things already. Good enough for me!

I know, I know, but look at the price of these babies. Currently at 50 bucks with no takers! I was just browsing for used 16 inch wheels, on the off chance I found someone who bought an extra set of AVS's when Tire Rack was closing out on them, and I found these instead. Then I started thinking of the possibilities.

if you can get them cheap enough, but the gold color is holding you back, you could always squirt the centers silver

Pimpy. Worth checking out, they may be 7&8's like mine.

I have a set of 7 and 8s with the centers painted black to give them the stock fuchs look. I am thinking of selling them. They also have Porsche crest center caps (the caps are similiar to the ones shown above, but with a colored crest). Any idea what these are worth?

I have a set of the one piece BBS wheels with the gold centers. They work very well with snow tires and are used in the winter when I go to the mountains! Do not want to ding a Fuch's.

i'm wondering how the ebay seller had 245/45s stuffed in the rear of a '75 ?? i suppose he may have had flares installed. anyhow, the 245 tire width would make one assume 8 inch rims. do you know the widths??

I have a set of the BBS 7's and 8's. I am looking to buy some Fuchs if you are looking to do some kind of trade + cash for yours. They are all perfect except for 1 has a very small ding.

Depending on the color of the car - I like them painted silver.

Gold is a little bling-bling for me - but sometimes they look period and sort of cool.
