Front Fuel lines install question

I got the 2 lines through the tunnel. Grommets are split so installing them shouldn't be too bad (we'll see). I cut the old lines to remove them from the metal "bale" above the steering rack. The question is: do the new lines need to go back through the metal bale? Not sure how to do it. And if I do need to, is the order critical? Left to right?

Car is a 78 sc

Thanks in advance

Got it

No part of this job is fun. But I do feel good that they are where they are supposed to be. Now on with the other grommets and hooking up the front lines.

Sounds like you are all set. I assume you have already reviewed this thread?

Fuel lines

I did many searches but did not find this one. How is that possible? Anyway, the one thing that scares me a bit is the longer screw. I did not pull the center section where the shifter is. I guess I will reassemble and check for leaks visually and with my nose.
