yes, search for "heat backdate".
I have a twin plug distributor on my '72 - like yours, I used a 930 duct to solve the clearance problem. The oil line for the Carrera tensioners can also present a bit of a problem, but also can be modified to make work.

Yes, but I made my duct myself, so that may not be the best option for you.

"930-106-321-01-PH? That part gets terrible reviews for a poor fit"
is this true? part doesn't fit well also the only pictures I see with a twin plug dizzy is the distributor with the two small caps I think 964? the belt drive for the second cap and rotor. the relief in the duct looks big like it may clear the fatter single cap twin plug diz. and those parts look like the are tin. not plastic? thanks |

IDK if this was an original 930 piece or fabbed up by the PO but here are a couple of pics from when I had it off, and yes the heat works fine with the right duct in place.

Yep that’s the ducting piece I saw. I read fit was not really good but I don’t know. I would to get one of those from pelican but the are $119 not terrible but if it won’t work with twin plug distributors then I’m kinda stuck with it
Do you know if it will work with the 12 plug dizzy it’s pretty wide When looking at it installed it is very close to cylinders |

I doin't know how much wider the 12-plug distributor is than the regular SC distributor. I had to modify the duct with a few whacks from a ball-peen hammer to give a few mm of extra space for one of the plug wire towers. I would think you could to the same with a little more sincerity to clearance the 12-plug distributor cap. If you heat it up to dark red with a propane torch it will be much easier to work.
