Did you have your cylinders bored and plated, or are they new?

That's the plan. I'm just try to decide on induction. 46mm PMOs or a good deal on a EFI system.

If you go with carbs, don’t go too large. Were at 2.7, same cams as you, but short stroke. Were running weber 40s with 34mm chokes. More than enough.

After talking with Paul Abbott I'm going to try my 40s with 36mm venturis. See how that works out.

It should rev nicely. I'm also running a Sachs aluminum light weight 10lb. Pressure plate and Fidanza 5.5lb aluminum flywheel.

Listen to Abbott on the carbs. He knows his stuff. Mine revs very quickly because of the 66mm short stroke crank. Don’t go to light on your flywheel/clutch assy. You need some rotational mass or you will stall on takeoff. My car only weighs 1800 lbs, and I have a tall 1st gear. I kept the flywheel stock, but run a Kennedy aluminum pressure plate, stage 1. I can roll away without even giving it gas, even in 3rd gear, by mistake sometimes.

I'm also running lower gear ratio. 7:31 R&P. As a 2.7 spec. With 964 cams it pulled good from a stop. Same aluminum pressure plate and flywheel. Car weighs 2, 300 now. When I install 2.8 I will be lighting it up with fiberglass bumpers, hood, front fenders and Ducktail. Hopefully get it down to 2,000. Oh I'm trying to loose some weight also. Hopefully 30lbs.
