White Interior?

I have a 1979 911 SC in Minerva Blue Metallic with a White Interior.

Why can I not find any pictures of other SC's with white interiors?

Could be a special order or a interior revamp along the way by a previous owner?

I am kind of wondering if it was a replacement interior from a newer car, but the styles check out. Once I get everything together I will have to do more research. Just odd that I cannot find more pictures of white interiors in SC's. White interiors are not exactly my style.

I owned several white interiors in the 70's. I loved them but they are a PITA to keep clean..... Specially the blue jeans marks.

Have you confirmed the interior option code? You may have the white color referred to as “linen”. Searching for that word might pull up more pictures.

We have a '76 930 in the family that came Minerva Blue with white leather interior from the factory. Spectacular combination. Alas, the 80s Guards Red craze got the best of it and it is now Guards Red with Black interior. At least the paint job is really well done.

My '88 has a "Linen" interior, here's a couple shots for reference. The slight green tint is from the glass.

I remember looking up the code a while back to check it, but so many projects have come across the table I will have to check again.

Compared to your 88', I feel I remember more black in the interior combined with small amounts of white trim. And it may be the pictures, but yours definitely seems like a "linen" white, while mine is more of a "I spilled bleach on a white floor" white...Unless the lighting in the shop is starting to get to me. I will post up some pictures this weekend when I have time to work on it

I guess I will give some quick background on the project too while I am at it. I bought the car last year from my dad but he has had it as a project for about 7-8 years. A lot of moving and picking up speed at work later, I am finally getting a little time to work on it over the weekends. Most of the interior is still at my dads so I do not see it very often. But the seats are staring me in the face every time I am working on it. I want to get it on the road this summer and I just pulled the engine and trans this last weekend, so the interior is at the back of my mind right now.

My 87 has original linen interior aside from the newly recovered front seats. I haven't had a chance to steam clean it yet, but it's definitely less than pure white.

What a fantastic combination, though a PITA to keep the white clean. I have a Minerva Blue with black interior and chrome trim myself and I love it.

Seat covers? Keep it out of the sun that will surely yellow the white esp. in hard plastic parts.

Mine is nowhere as nice as the other’s have posted here. But - I have a 79SC Targa that was painted, and I believe that this interior was original. I’ve put some small touches to it (leather boot, the middle carpet is black, door tops are with a French seam, and I re-stitched the steering wheel with red).

I have always had a bit of a soft spot for this car, but that interior is a real birch to keep clean, especially when working on the various interior projects.

I can definitely see the sun being hard on a nice white interior.

Maybe it is just my shop lighting that is causing them to look pure white.

I will get pictures up tomorrow.

Thanks for the replies guys!

Thise linen interiors looks lot like my Anniversary Cars interior (89). I wonder if its the same color carpets and leather? Hmm.

I will say it sure it pretty and nice to drive in vs black. It also shows dirt easily.

I have an '83SC Cab with a linen interior. The door cards are also white while the carpet and center console is black. My linen is a whiter shade almost true white. Not a problem to keep clean and the seats don't burn you like black seats when sitting in the sun.

So I am thinking it is definitely my shop lighting that is making me think it is so white. But my trim seems to have more black than white.
