71T windscreen washer

Hi All, I have some questions on the windscreen washer system.

1) How is the reservoir mounted? I suspect my car's got some panels replaced in that area and I'm missing a bracket. Can someone post some pics please?

2) The system got some kind of circulation from what I can see. Since t-fitting (8) got a different part number, it's different from (7). What is the difference? Is there some back flow valve in (8)? To what end?

Appreciate all input!

Here I am, answering my own questions... But I think I figured out (8) now. The return end got a restriction so the natural way is to the nozzles...

I'm amazed how super engineered (over?) everything is on these cars. I just went through my wiring. And don't get me started on the fuel tank vent...

I still appreciate your input on the above. And on question 1) of course.

Cheers,
Jörgen

I think the bracket is just a tab in the trunk well that it sort of snaps behind, mines out because I keep trying to push the pump back onto the bottle (Anyone know how to do that?) but I might be able to find it a get a picture together

I've seen this documented in an old thread but if the trunk floor in that area has been replaced the mounting tab is probably missing. Check out this thread, some good info:

Yes. Put the foot of the bracket in the lip, hold the pump firmly against the bottle, and use a broomstick through the bottle filler neck to push the bottle circle from the inside into the pump bracket.

Great, thanks! Apparently that bracket is available as a spare part.
