Seat Removal...HELP!

Okay, I'm in a jam here. I'm removing all my carpeting to install a cage, Sparco seats, and new RS carpet. The passenger seat cannot be moved forward or backward to access the rear socket head screws. I can access and remove the fronts but not the rears. The seat only moves 1/2 inch forward and backward. I'm not sure what is limiting this movement. It seems like something on the left rail (closest to center) is prohibiting any movement. How the heck can I remove my seat? The seat is manual on the forward and backward movements but is power on up and down movements. Any suggestions? This is on my '90 C2.
