great idea! I'm thinking I could drill a hole in the jug the 80W90 comes in, put a hose fitting on it (I initially thought glue but those plastic jugs often have trouble getting any glue to hold to it, maybe a press fit?) then attach my Motive Pressure Bleeder to it, then run some plastic/tygon tubing between the jug and trans-axle. My compressor would work but I'd hate to get distracted and hearing the jug Blow! Ka Boom! Like you said - a Mess! But the compressor can be set low. Thanks, like the others, an excellent idea.

I just stick the 1/2" tubing through the 1/2" hole - it seals pretty well - and make sure the open end of the tubing is submerged someplace near the bottom. If you then pressurize the container, fluid will get pushed up the tube. Whatever leakage there is at the drilled hole is just a wee bit of air. It's really quite mess-free, as far as anything involving gear oil can be mess-free.

Yup. Clean, easy, quick. Works great. My fill bottle is buried in the garage but I'll post a pic if I can find it.

I use a rubber tipped air sprayer to pressurize the bottle and push fluid up the outlet tubing. Easy to control.

Spend the $20 and get an electric oil pump like this one:

You put the tubes in, wedge a rag under the fill hole, and flip the switch. When the rag is wet, you flip the switch off. It takes like 20 minutes with that little pump, but oh so luxurious. After trying each, I am alllll set with hand pumps and awkward gravity setups.

Same but speedtaped the funnel just on the fender to minimize the length of the hose.

I’ve made a couple of these. If you get the smaller 2-3qt it’ll fit under the car with you. It makes filling the trans simple and clean and while it’s slowly filling I have time to lay under and do visual inspections or just marvel at the engineering of my old beauty.

LOL, I've realized that not one person will change the way they do this, by reading this thread.
Each of us just thinks how stupid and inconvenient the other methods are.
eg: I can't imagine setting up some crazy gravity contraption when 3 squirts of a $20 suction gun takes literally 2 minutes.
