Sad Day - Just found out the "Maestro" has passed away...

Fellow MIT Alum Harry Pellow was a legend in Porsche 356 circles. Somewhat of Bruce Anderson's counterpart on the 356 side. Just found out he passed away March 25.

I was bummed also, if you do a search on Harry Pellow you will see there is a earlier post about him listing some tributes. In fact I am still bummed !!!!

If you ever had the chance to meet Harry like I did, he's someone you'd never forget. He was basically a mad scientist. His passion for 356's is legendary. We are all lucky Harry gave us his books and videos to permanently record and pass on his deep 356 knowledge. Man, I wish I can find the picture of Harry and I posing next to the motor he helped me build back in 1987.

Harry always reminds us at the end of his great stories.

That's very very sad.

I never met Harry, but did have the pleasure of reading his many stories and reams of advice...

Here was a man who really knew 356s, and was willing to share his knowledge in a wonderful entertaining way.

I've not yet had the pleasure of owning a 356, but one day I will, and the first thing I'll do when I get it home is read "What to do when you get it home" by the Maestro.
