1988 Carrera Instrument Cluster bulbs
I am switching the bulbs in the 5 gauges in my 1988 Carrera instrument cluster and need to know the total number of bulbs these gauges contain. I assume the 5 gauges all use the same bulb. Any help on these two questions would be appreciated.

Hi AvWB- There are 8 total bulbs (all the same-Bulb 12v 2w #90063110290)
That being said (speaking from personal experience) switching to LED is a huge upgrade and very easy! Here's a good link... Post here your experience with the new Gauge BA7s LED (I went with Englebert's vintage set) Cooking on a Porsche 911- The compound butter made the difference. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FvXBR50rH9E

I have a spare set you can have for 10 + shipping..leds. Just dont change your alternator bulb as it needs a specific draw to excite the charging circuit
pm me if you want |

+1 on the Vintage LEDs. I have cars with vintage and bright white. I prefer the vintage. The color temperature of the original incandescent bulbs isn't the issue, it's their anemic output.

I have both sets as spares..but found excellent LEDS that have a dimmer and fuse in line, that and getting your gauges cleaned is a huge benefit
