-71 heat/fan bezel light

Hi All,
I'm working on putting a -71T together after I bought it in boxes. Now working on the wiring I wonder:

What kind of light bulb sockets were used on the switch assembly?

There are two "tubes" at each end. Were these bulbs grounded by the assembly or with a wire? Were there a "rubber tube" at each end for the bulb holder?

I've tried to find some photos. My switch does not have any wiring for bulbs or sockets.

Thanks for any input,
Jörgen Forssling

Yes, you are missing the wiring and the fan switch stuff. The bulb sockets on the left is only used if your car is equipped with the Webasto gas-fired auxiliary heater. The one on the right indicates if the vent blower fan is running.

Hi All, it is not my switch in the post. Sorry, but I didn't have it at hand so I took an image off internet...

So, my switch has got the wiring. But no bulb or wiring to it. See image of my switch. Black, Blue and Green/yellow I believe is for the extra heater.

So, what kind of bulb connecters are used on the switch. I understand it is only for the right one now...

Thanks for your help!

TO be clear on the -71, there are 2 lights, possibly:

1 light is for fan on, it's the light on the RIGHT side. It only turns on when the fan is in position 1 or higher.
The 2nd light was only included if you had the Wabasto/gas heater optioned, and its on the LEFT side.

There are not running lights on the heater panel. There is 1 running light for the ashtray when lights are on.

If you look at the wiring diagrams you can find which color it is, not sure why yours is missing the socket. its a little 2w or so wedge bulb, not sure the socket is available, but I'm sure something could be made to work with some heat shrink and a small socket.

Mine wasn't working, bulb burned and wasn't in the socket ... worked when replaced. Thought I had some pictures of it, but can't find.

Thanks, now it all makes sense. The green/yellow wire goes to the lamp and it closes the circuit when the fan is turned on. The bulb is grounded through the bezel frame. I think I can modify one of my bulb connectors and make it work with some heat shrink as proposed.

If anyone has a pic of that bulb connector I would appreciate it.

Remark to myself,
the bulb is NOT grounded through the bezel frame. The green/yellow closes the ground circuit.
