Retracked the AFM, path was worn to the PCB and had a serious non-linearity around idle. I was unable to keep the rpm anywhere between 1100 - 2300 rpm.

I can make this last 4 to 6 weeks. The orange 6-ton jack stands are ¾ extended. It's up there, can go higher. I'll put the front up next week. I'll remove the transmission crossmember for access the week after that, then attach the line and put proper torque on the hose clamp, maybe take three weeks to put it back together. I've run out of things to do.

Taking it off is fairly straight forward. Support the tranny with a separate jack to take the weight off it. Putting the brace back is another thing. I start the two long studs on the tranny and hang the brace loosely to thread the two end bolts finger tight and getting a good bite. It's one of the scariest things I do. If the threads get cross-threaded, it's a soul-crushing error, especially at this stage.

Re-covered my seats- Black leather with wool houndstooth inserts. Old-school look, and actually much cooler to sit in. Love how they came out.

Wool.... nice. Spray them with some Scotchguard to ward off stains.

Tomorrow, my brake fluid is to arrive from Amazon. I'll begin bleeding of my brakes. It has been about three years since they were bled (I think, need to check records).

Maybe I'll get the nerve to start my Lego RSR model assembly. I hear it's time consuming :).

They are Recaro's I found from the late 70's early 80's.

Made a pair of seat rail spacers to compensate for 44 years of compression under three different owner's rear ends.
Started with some aluminum extruded stock from McMaster. (And, of course, drilled to add lightness.)

I got a whole mess of things done to my 911 before the virus, so I've been working on my Mini project...I'm converting a classic Mini to electric using Nissan Leaf components...I've got the batteries charging and I'm close to installing the motor. Currently in messy prototype mode as I've never done anything like this before, and I still have fingers crossed that I'll get a car that drives at all!

[QUOTE=Platypus;10819551]Working with limited tools, so it’s a little rough. But it works great.

Great work Platypus! Where's the CAD drawing? :D
I predict someone is trying to turn one of those out of aluminum at this very moment!

Well, since our yearly car show was cancelled (was to reveal project of the last year), I drove to a secluded area and took this photo. A different sort of project, I get it.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1587296135.jpg
