ebay momo adapter
Hello, all. Has anyone experience with the "Flashpower" adapter for Momo steering wheels? Bought one cheap, solid aluminum with a spring loaded contact for the horn. Well made but.....Seems like this will not work on my '83 SC, as the horn contact on the column does not make a complete circle.
It also fits very tightly on the column, so much so that I am leary about forcing it on without making sure the contact will work. ![]()

I've used both the Flashpower and the Momo hubs; have the Flashpower installed now. I really like it; it fits great and I think it looks pretty good.
I found the machining for the splines to be very precise but on mine (and I suspect yours) the black crinkle-finish powder coating oversprayed on the splines and creates just enough interference to make it near impossible to install easily. I just cleaned up the overspray (gotta be careful you don't alter the splines), and it fit beautifully. I used a tool like this (for golf irons) that I had laying around; worked like a charm: ![]() IMHO, if you just clean up the overspray you'll be fine.
