Undercarriage Seams
Hey guys, have you found most Porsche (or European specialty) mechanics to be careful where to lift your car's from? Some of the seams on my undercarriage are bent down, seems as though either the PO or a previous mechanic didn't know what they were doing? What's your experience? Should I try and bang them back? Any damage done? Thanks.

The ride height was set at 24 1/2 front and 24 1/8 rear, WITH 250 lbs in the front seat. The car sits visably higher without me in it. Note that those fender heights are with 24" tires--not the usual 25"--so take that into consideration when comparing.
Edit: also, most of the web site pics were taken before the new struts were installed and the final ride height/corner balance was done. It's pretty close, though. Last edited by RallyJon; 10-24-2003 at 07:59 AM.. |
