Cannot find door seal, help needed inside
1987 911.
I removed a door seal from the outside of the glass that was falling apart and had white clips that held against the door. The only one i can find in the catalog is 911-531-931-02 that shows "outer" but has no clips. I found one that shows "with clips" but it is for "inner" so I'm unsure how to find it. Any help is appreciated. It was falling apart and had a fabric style material to it. It's inside the outer edge of the seal, not on top.. Most likely you are searching for the fuzzy window seal. I tried to find them just now with our hosts parts catalog but no dice.
https://www.*************/catalogsearch/result/?q=SIC-531-935-20 I ordered these from Pelican a couple of years ago using the Stoddard part number. IIRC, Pelican used to get these from Stoddard. Some good pictures in this thread, albeit targa specific. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-911-technical-forum/1018489-targa-window-felt-general-service.html |
Is your car a Coupe, Targa, or Cab? And are you looking for right or left?
|
Pelican has them also. Part numbers 901.531.935.20 & 901.531.936.20

Arne2 is correct if your car is a couple. If Targa or Cab, the part numbers listed are 911 531 295 40 and 296 40. Not sure if there is a difference. Be ready for some sticker shock.

Guys, thanks for the help. The thread from Spedrcr above shows the correct left over pieces in the photos. In addition when you click on the link below it shows the same thing I already have but this description doesn't say "inner" which when you search the part numbers from Arne2 do show "inner" but same part number... odd right? These are for the outer (outside the glass between the door and the glass) edge and would be correct but the main reason I asked yesterday as it was showing inner when searching so you can see where my confusion stemmed from.
https://www.pelicanparts.com/More_Info/90153193620.htm?pn=901-531-936-20-M260 Since these are there only ones that show the clips they must be correct. JRSIII, these are a coupe. Thanks for the all the help guys and Happy Easter, Bryan |
I think the term "inner" in this case indicates that they are "inside" the door. The "outer" seals are the rubber wipers that attach to the door top trim.
