Question #2, 930 exhaust and oil ines

I test fitted my new heat exchangers last night only to find a fitment problem. The large oilline that attaches to the bottom of the case and loops under the bellhousing is totally in the way of the passenger side exchanger. Did the later turbos use a different oil line here? The exhaust is from an '85 930. Also I bet that line is a bugger to get off the case right?

lenndaddy,

Yes, they did change the large case oil line. I'll post images later to show you the difference.

the crossover pipe for an '85 is 930 107 741 11.

930 107 743 10 connects the crossove to the tstat.

I've never heard it called that, but it is in the scavenge circuit. I mostly hear it called a "crossover pipe".

I have a line from my '87 that I'm no longer using. I have no idea how to ship it safely...but would you be interested in buying it? Mine was replaced when I installed GHL headers.

Did you order the corresponding parts associated with this additional line? There is a differant fitting with an associated 9mm ball bearing( I guess this acts as some sort of check valve to prevent oil from flowing down into turbo), sealing rings and hollow bolt.
If you look at the diagram, noting the red arrow, items 41, 42, 49, 51, 51, and 50. In between the two "51's", you'll note the banjor fitting which is the end of the scavenge line.
It it helps,

Dave

I think you are showing me the hollow bolt and pressure switch assmbly, which is different than what we are talking about in this thread but is ironically something I also need info on. I need to find the P/N or dimensions of the aluminum sealing rings shown in you diagram as items 41 and 51 I believe. Do you have those P/N's thanks.

Yes, now I see what you were referring to. Anyway, here are the part numbers;
item 41 - 90012314030 - Sealing ring(A18x22)
item 42 - 90110117501 - adapter
item 49 - 90010802200 - ball (9mm)
item 50 - 93010770600 - hollow screw
item 51 - N0138148 - sealing ring(qty 2) (A14x18)

Which pipe were you referring to, item 39(93010733800) or item 11(93010712503)?
