SC airbox question
Well, I pulled a little too hard on the air box strap to remove the strap from the bottom tab (the left hand one as you look into the engine compartment) and snapped off the tab. I know I just saw a thread on here that mentioned someone having a fix for that issue (short of buying and installing a new airbox!!!) Any ideas from our talented group...or anyone remember what the fix was?)

A really good epoxy glue?

Maybe...It broke off pretty clean and with a very small contact area I have my doubts, seems like the solution I saw proposed involved a strip off metal..perhaps screwed to the airbox?
Anybody recall ? |

You can put a hose clamp around the intake manifold pipe below the airbox and attach it there. Sorry I don't have a photo but I did that for years until the air box finally gave out for unrelated reasons and I installed a new one. Then do all your disconnects from the top wire.

Tsuter...you just cheered me up immensely!
I was contemplating $300 for a new airbox and never put my brain to work like you did! |
