Pedal cluster, what and how to lube

1988 3.2, I removed the driver side wooden floorboard to clean up behind there and it was pretty clean and wonderfully dry. What should I lube while I am in there and what is the best grease for the linkages? I seem to remember something about synthetic grease because of composite bushing?

Lubrication

There's some detail on other posts about lubrication of the pedal cluster, just search for pedal cluster. As for the other linkages I'm sure a little 3 in 1 oil won't hurt, just don't over do it because the dirt and dust find it fast.

I just re-bushed my pedal cluster... now shifts like butter, compared to the crunchy, hard clutch I used to deal with. While I was in there, I noticed the master cylinder leaking (every primary project seems to uncover one or more sub projects), so I replaced that as well. Turned my two day project into a four day project.

Good luck!

Do you still have the original plastic bushings in the pedals? If so, I would squirt some silicone spray lube there and hope for the best.

If they have been upgraded to the bronze bushings just use some motor oil.

Those plastic bushings are known to suddenly and without warning disintegrate. AHIK.
