Couple questions on recovering seats.
Hello,
I have new leather and padding to put on the front seats of my ‘77. I searched through a few threads and couldn’t find the answers I’m looking for. What size hog rings do I need to order? How does the seat back release trim and handle come off of the seat back? Thanks much for any help. Rutager

I ordered hog ring pliers off of amazon and they came with a bag of 100 hog rings. Worked just fine on re-doing my seat bottoms. I did not realize they had any particular sizes?

Thanks Travis,
I did order some off of Eastwood. The reason I asked was that in my initial search, I found them in all different sizes including ones to cinch up sausage casings! Rutager

Where did you get the seat coverings? I have a pair of 72 OEM seats I may want to try to do myself.

I ordered from World Upholstery, they look real good, hopefully install goes well. Weren’t cheap and new foam was about as much as the leather but I want “new” comfortable seats when I’m done.

Well, I’ll answer my own question and hopefully help someone else down the line.
I suspected that the seat back lever was just a tight push fit and that the bezel would have some sort of tab or fingers holding it in place and they did, I used a trim tool to squeeze the bezel in and pry the bump out. ![]()
