Turn signals not working
 

I have a 996 (2001) that the turn signal lights are not working, but when I turn on the
flashers they work. I have checked all the fuses with none of them burned out.
What can be the problem? Do the turn signals and the flashers work off the same relay?

Wouldn’t the ground be the same for the turn signals and the emergency flashers?

Probably in the turnsignal stalk. Try wiggling it arounda little more than usual to see if you can help it make contact. If so you will need to replace, or remove and bend the contacts...at least that is how the older 911s work.
