360000 Posts! How's the Server Performance?

How's the server doing lately? I noticed some problems yesterday, and occassionally when I'm doing some editing or changing of posts (admin functions) it slows down a bit while it locks the database.

Any major problems?

None here....performance has been flawless for me.

BlueSkyJaunte 04-11-2003 11:22 AM

Seems OK to me.

it's great for me.

It is great... how many posts do we have to reach before you give away a free GT2?

Response time is low, and page serve times are quick. The server looks good from this end Wayne.

Thanks for all your efforts in managing this monster through exponential growth, crumbling vendors, and countless upgrades. Most corporate IT departments would envy your performance. Nice work, man.

As a fellow walker of the Infinite Corridor, you do us proud.

It blows. Only kidding, Wayne.

Compared to other BBS sites, this is lightning fast, which makes it much more enjoyable to navigate too. And I'm on a dial up connection too. Thanks Wayne!

Finest running and run board on the internet!

Great 'board no doubt about it.

The Search mechanism on the Parts/Classifieds is dead though. A search on the word "Targa" brings up nothing found. This test was performed after a far more refined search set of keywords that I am sure should have yielded something.

Other than that though everything's good!

Wayne,

the server is working great. I notice a little error once in a while, Sometime (not all the time) if I edit a post, or make a post when I hit "submit" I get a http error "page not found" if I then go back, and hit submit again the post is accepted.

It freakin rocks Wayne...you provide a great service. I hope everyone reading your board gives you first shot at any parts purchase....I know I do.

Wayne:

Yes, the Tech board is fine; I have no problem with that either. Check my message again - it's the Parts/Classified I am talking about.
