1982 911SC brass front oil cooler flexible pipes length

Hi ,

I have bought an used 28 tube brass front oil cooler and need to order two flexible short pipes from a hydraulic pipes workshop . I have dismantled and moved the trombone cooler and set the new cooler in the position and have measured aprox. 23 centimeters longer pipe and 19 centimeters shorter pipe ( nuts included) to the hard oil lines.
Could enyone with the same cooler confirm these values in centimeters or inches please ?
Thanks

You were pretty darn close with your measurements. Measurements below include the nuts.

I need to replace my trombone with a brass cooler as well. Are you using the Porsche lower bracket? So you had to drill at least one mounting hole through the body?

Thanks a lot Mark 🙂
I don't have the original Porsche bracket , I plan to do something similar with the aluminium profile and some elbow grease. There is a hole for the screw from the original trombone cooler bracket that I might use. I will fix the brass cooler on the headlight bracket and see where it seats at the bottom.
I reckon these pipes on the picture are for the carrera style oil cooler ?
I suppose they are the same lenght as for the brass cooler....
Cheers
Angelo

Yes, I had assumed they would fit the 28-tube or the Carrera cooler, and now that you've measured it sounds like that is correct.
