Question What’s the secret? Front Seat Belts

I just received a set of front seat belts for my 930 and they are currently retracted. When I try to pull on the belt, the lock mechanism activates. How do I prevent the lock from activating? I’m sure it’s something simple that I’m over looking but no matter how I pull on the belt, the lock prevents it from extending.

You may be holding it upside down, try turning it over...??? It should work when pulled against as mounted in the car.

Pull very slowly, if they're brand new the locking mechanism may be very sensitive to "pull"????
