Anyone here fitted a Rothsport / EB Motorsports SCRS Front bumper?

Hello all,

Hope you are all enjoying your Sunday.

Im looking for help in regards to fitting a EB Motorsports SCRS narrow front bumper to my 84 Carrera. If anyone has done this Id really like to hear how it went, What mods did you need to do to make it work, what would you do different if you did it again, What did you think of the part, etc?

Any input and feedback is welcome.

I've had one for a few months now, but can't seem to find enough free time to finish the installation. It looks to be very well made. I have to move the driver's side oil cooler some to gain enough clearance for the bumper. And had to move the oil cooler lines across the front because the lower openings are placed differently than the ones on the old bumper. Those are probably issues specific to my car. I'll try to update if/when there's progress.

1987. I'm running a second fender-mounted oil cooler because of the 3.6l in the back.

Well made piece. We installed it on a late Carrera a couple years ago and no memories of any problems

Update.

Got the bumper the other day. Really nice job on the box. Part was well wrapped and protected. I can tell its a well made part just by looking at it (I have made a part or two in my time out of FG and Carbon). I will be doing a dry fit this weekend so I will post pictures soon.

Looks great James. The 964 molding finishes it off nicely too.

Wow, that's even the same color as mine! I kinda miss the Carrera front spoiler on it though. It needs something to break up the blue a little.

So there you go. Sorry I posted a bunch of pics, Ive never posted pics to this site so could not see how to post lots of pics in one post.
You can see that the bumper does fit well but please note it was not a simple case of just bolting it on. Mounting the turn signals took some fab work and making the 964 smile work well took some work.

Donerix,

Sure you can ask. Its an IROC narrow body rear bumper. Just wanted clean lines and small overhangs.
