High idle after replacing throttle bushings.
 

I replaced the bushings on the throttle pedal lever thing because they were coming apart. I had to replace that rubber stop thing as well, it fell apart in my hand. I also replaced the bushings and the rod end on the lever on the transmission.

First start up of the year (I am up in Canada) and the idle was around 2K. So I thought that the linkage was out because of the new parts and that rubber stop being thicker than the old one. I adjusted the transmission rod end by one turn and the car settled down to around 800 rpm. Sometimes it would hang at about 1100 rpm. I am thinking that the new bushings, etc. are preventing the idle switch from activating. Another turn should do it. Am I thinking right? The car ran fine when I stopped for winter and the ICV is clean.

you must re adjust the rod. Also check if the spring on the engine below the throttle body pulls down the rod so the throttle butterfly keeps closed completely.
